The artwork's subject is Time literally, physically, and spiritually. The composing words, taken from the 1901 poem Time's Paces, by Henry Twells, describe the way time speed up as a person gets older. The relevance of the words, one century later, is overwhelming and disturbing as life today is faster, time is less noticeable, and even taken for granted. The artwork is exploring our relationship with this abstract, yet important dimension, and raises questions about its meaning and connection to spirituality.
